The Toronto Bach Festival Orchestra

The 2019 Bach Festival will open with the dazzling and virtuoso fireworks of one of Bach’s most beloved concertos. Award-winning harpsichordist Luc Beauséjour makes his Festival debut with the famous Brandenburg Concerto No. 5.

The evening will feature two cantatas: the early Tritt auf die Glaubensbahn, and Du wahrer Gott und Davids Sohn, with includes a powerful chorale ending so good, that Bach brought it back again in his St. John Passion. Audience favourite Julia Wedman shines with Bach’s Concerto in A minor for violin. A brilliant night of illuminating music!
